Our faith-based activities are meant to nurture kindness, gratitude, and strong moral values, gifts that benefit every child, regardless of religion. Many of our families come from different faith traditions and simply appreciate the loving, values-driven environment we provide.

In Maryland, family child care homes are capped by law at eight children, and that limit is exactly what makes our program work. One caregiver, eight children she truly knows.

Families who started here have brought second children, and some have brought their friends. This is a home filled with love and generations of milestones and growth, from Justina’s own children and from the ones she cares for.

What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, all year round. If you need a few minutes either side now and then, say so and we will work it out.
What ages do you take?
From 12 months to 6 years.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No. Diapers are part of the day here and always have been. Bring what your child uses and we will keep you stocked up on what runs out.
What about meals?
Yes, we do include nutritional lunches. We structure them depending on the kids. If there are any allergy restrictions, then we will adjust our ingredients. We do recommend and encourage parents to provide snacks and/or lunches if their kids are picky eaters.
What happens if my child is sick?
Keep them home if they have a fever, have been sick, or have something that spreads. This protects the other kids in the daycare from getting sick, and Justina too. Give Justina a call to let her know.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, one cat. Jasper is a friendly adult male, but he stays upstairs, away from the rooms the children use, so he is not around them during the day. If your child has a pet allergy or asthma, tell Justina before you enroll and she will talk it through with you.
Which days are you closed?
Weekends and the main public holidays. (We follow MCPS school weather conditions policies.)
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Justina is Peruvian and speaks Spanish and English all day, to whichever child is in front of her. There is no Spanish hour; a child who arrives speaking only Spanish is never the odd one out.
Do we have to be Catholic?
You do not have to be Catholic to join our daycare family. We welcome all families and simply share values like kindness, respect, and gratitude that every child can benefit from, faith background aside.
How many children are here?
Eight at most. That is the legal ceiling for a family child care home in Maryland. Our numbers fluctuate depending on the season; on average, we have around 3-5 kids year-round.
