Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm. The same rooms, the same person, and the same shape to every day, which is most of what makes a small child feel safe somewhere. Meals are cooked here and eaten together at a table.

This is a house on a residential street, not a center. Eight children at most, one person who knows every one of them, and the same rooms every day.

Set days each week rather than all five, for families who need two or three. Talk to Justina about which days are open, because it depends on who else is here that day.
Questions parents ask
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, all year round. If you need a few minutes either side now and then, say so and we will work it out.
What ages do you take?
From 12 months to 5 years. Younger than that is not something this house is set up for, and saying so plainly saves you a phone call.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No. Diapers are part of the day here and always have been. Bring what your child uses and we will keep you stocked up on what runs out.
What about meals?
Cooked here and eaten together at a table, which is how children learn to eat things they said they did not like. Tell Justina about allergies and she will work around them.
What happens if my child is sick?
Keep them home if they have a fever, have been sick, or have something that spreads, and call to let Justina know. She is a certified nursing assistant, so if something changes during the day you will hear from her early rather than at pick-up.
What should we bring?
A change of clothes, diapers and wipes if your child is still in them, anything they sleep with, and a coat that is allowed to get muddy. Outdoor time happens every day it is not dangerous to be out.
Which days are you closed?
Weekends and the main public holidays. Anything else — a snow day, an appointment — goes up as a notice on the website in advance, so check there first.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Justina is Peruvian and speaks Spanish and English all day, to whichever child is in front of her. There is no Spanish hour; a child who arrives speaking only Spanish is never the odd one out.
